Hi! I am Alex Soto, a Chilean physicist, Christian, happily married and a cat lover.

I got a Bachelor degree in Physics at Universidad de Chile (2012), a Master in Physics at Universidad de Chile (2015) and a Ph.D. in Physics at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2020). I worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at Newcastle University (2021-2024) and from October 2025 as Marie Curie Fellowship at Instytut Fizyki Polskiej Akademii Nauk (IFPAN). You can find out more in my CV.

In this webpage I will be uploading content related with my interests. In the section Research you will find my scientific interests and publications.

The section Resources has a big variety. It can be divided in three subsections. First, in Physics Notes I have blog entries of short things related with physics that I consider interesting. Second, as a Christian, I believe in God and I like to study in depth the Bible. Some studies, commentaries on the Bible and analysis of the original languages can be found in Biblical Resources. Last but not least, I enjoy the music, so I also play guitar, bass guitar and keyboards. In the subsection Musical life you can see part of my creative work as an amateur musician.

If you want to contact me, you can write to arsoto1@uc.cl.
